Deimos
Easter EggsAs we all know, Kratos tends to keep his past to himself. In God of War: Ragnarok, he eventually opens up to Freya about his younger brother Deimos. Deimos is spoken of in the first God of War and then seen in the God of War: Ghost of Sparta PSP game. He was killed by Thanatos and was a compelling reason why Kratos destroyed Olympus.
Playstation All-Stars Battle
Easter EggsThe All-Star Battle Royal is an epic battle between all of the main characters in PlayStation games. One of them is Kratos. In God of War: Ragnarok, Mimir (the head hanging from Kratos’ belt) mentions that he heard that Kratos fought in a tournament with all these characters. He doesn’t name the character, but he does describe them by saying Kratos fought princesses, great musicians, and automata.
The Boat Captain
Easter EggsThe boat captain has been referenced often throughout the God of War series. He was killed by falling into a dead hydra’s belly while stealing a key. Kratos remembers him specifically as one of the people he has wronged. Just after Kratos frees Lyngbakr, he mentions how it reminded him of the boat captain. You can see clearly how Kratos was in the earlier games and how he has developed since then. You can hear the regret in his voice.
Bear McCreary
Easter EggsIf you look closely in "God of War: Ragnarok," you'll notice that Raeb, the musician, resembles Bear McCreary. This is because he is modeled after him. Bear is the musician who has done most of the soundtracks for the characters in GOWR. Bear is also spelled Raeb backwards. Aside from doing the music for the game, Bear also plays this character and does a great job at it.
