The Vikings and Norseman used to use precious metals like gold or silver when trading or battering. But when they started trading internationally the need for a coin became evident. Thus they created the Hacksilver as their coin in place of trading.

What can you do with it?

Favors are a great way to earn more hacksilver. Often you will be given hacksilver for doing small favors for NPCs. Never pass up an opportunity to do a favor or take on a side quest. The extra hacksilver is always needed.

Increasing your LCK stats are also a great way of earning more hacksilver. The simplest way of increasing your LCK stats is by equipping yourself with gear that increases your stats. Do this before you go into the open world and you will find loads more.

Selling Artificants can bring in a sufficient amount of hacksilver too. Artifacts are items you find throughout the game that haven’t got many uses other than for selling. To sell an artifact you can go to the blacksmith and he will give you an offer for the artifact. 

Fight in the Muspelheim. The Muspelheim is a realm that you need to unlock by finding two seed pieces. Once you have unlocked it you can fight in various combat challenges. If you win you will earn a decent amount of hacksilver.

How to farm it.

There are some non-conventional ways of getting hacksilver. You don’t necessarily have to always complete challenges or find chests and always search for new items to break. You can earn more Hacksilver by using this hack.

Starting from a saved checkpoint, look for an area where you can find hacksilver. Break the pots and other breakable items. Once you have received the hacksilver go into the menu and restart at the checkpoint. 

You will find that your hacksilver amount has stayed the same but all the items you broke have been replaced. Do this a few times and you will find that it’s an easy way to build your hacksilver wallet.
